ThyssenKrupp is one of the world's largest steel producers, the company also provides components and systems for the automotive industry, elevators, escalators, material trading and industrial services.

 

Project Summary

Within the Daproh-Project the Accounting and Controlling layer is a harmonized source for financial and controlling information. This includes balance sheet and profit/loss information as well as data from CO-PA. To enable a status monitoring for all process participants and to provide a validated and group currency reporting ThyssenKrupp decided to use SEM-BCS [BW on HANA] as tool within in the AC-Layer.

This project is the migration of SAP BW on Oracle to SAP BW (BCS Module) on HANA with further technical optimization of SAP BW via applying LSA++ architecture to leverage the full efficiency of HANA as an in-memory technology.  After migration and optimization we took over complete AMS activities to support 10 TK companies which are already at SAP platform.  Rollout projects to bring other companies onto SAP are also in progress and those too will be integrated with SEM BCS – BW on HANA.  After the migration was stable TK did the implementation of SD module (called it Spend Data warehouse).

 

Post migration/implementation it was the annual maintenance and support contract to provide L2 and L3 level support to TK customers.  Incident handling is done via SAP Solution Manager (SOLMAN).

E      Developed some critical Metrics reports to calculate the count and percentages of the Contacts Opted in and Opted out.

E      Developed new reports to analyze the Sales Orders (ECC) Contacts within an Account with their Marketing Profiles (CRM). This basically gives particular group of Customers based on Marketing Attributes and their Order/purchase details.

E      Developed new DSO and report for Segmentation process and this reports feeds data to CRM where in the business does further analysis using a tool called Segmentation tool.

E      Enhanced the existing Sales Extractors to restrict specific Pricing Conditions as requested by business.

E      Enhanced the Opportunity extractors and corresponding BADI to add some new Partner Functions and Quotation related fields.

E      Changed existing APD to add new DSO as we need to populate some contact information in Survey Response. This information is available in CRM and enhanced the existing data models and created BADI in CRM for the Data Source to fetch the relevant data.

E      Troubleshoot and fixed the issues related to post go-live like – performance, review the design issues, data load issues and query response times.

E      Worked on design part for a new report FSE (Field Service Engineer) which should display Standalone Leads, Standalone Opportunities and Opportunities created from Leads along with all their product level information and contact information.
